One of the real old timers of the group, this Clown started at the bank June 6, 1949 in the
Proof Department and spent most all of his career in Operations.
A versatile performer he worked in several operations areas and was one of the original programmers when the bank obtained
it's first computing equipment.
His tenure with the bank spanned 42 plus years. He retired in December 1991. At that time he was Manager
of the Coupon Collection Department.
He resides in Crestwood with his wife Ruby to whom he has been married for 37 years.
Floyd and Ruby have one daughter, Liz, who is a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. They have two granddaughters,
Kourtney, 11 and Kylie, 8.
In his retirement Floyd has pursued his golf game but he says he is still chasing that elusive little white ball.
An avid bowler he still bowls regularly.
Floyd and Ruby enjoy traveling, particularly to places with historical backgrounds, such as Williamsburg, VA, Charleston,
SC, Boston, MA and New England. More recently they have cruised Alaska, toured Nova Scotia and spent a week in San Diego.
One more thing about Floyd, he has a brother, Lloyd, who is his twin. Floyd and Lloyd are so much alike it is difficult
to tell them apart. Lloyd worked in the general vicinity of the bank and he could be encountered on the street where
one was never sure if he was Lloyd or Floyd. Lloyd retired in 1990, just prior to Floyd's retirement.
The photo above was taken during Floyd's early years with the bank. The photo at right was taken at the October 2000
luncheon.
